Where Zombie Came from-
Zombie is a term used to describe a hypnotized person of no consciousness with self-awareness, yet able to respond to surrounding area.

The word initially referred to a curse cast by sorcerers , allowing them to take control of a person's mind, therefore affecting his or her actions.

However, due to significant influence of Vodou on witchcraft mythology, this meaning soon morphed into that of a human corpse mysteriously re-animated to serve the undead.

Since the late 19th century, zombies have acquired notable popularity.

In modern times, the zombies became a popular subject in horror fiction, largely because of the success Zombie films like Dawn Of THe Dead, Zombie Apocalypse, Zombie Human Flesh Eaters to name but a few.

Zombie fiction is now a sizeable sub-genre of horror, usually describing a breakdown of civilization occurring when most of the population become flesh-eating zombies, a zombie apocalypse. The monsters are usually hungry for human flesh, often specifically brains.

Sometimes they are victims of a fictional pandemic illness causing the dead to reanimate or the living to behave this way, but often no cause is given in the story.
